About
I’m a twenty-two year old living in Uptown Dallas, Texas. I just recently graduated from Texas Christian University (May 2017) with my Bachelor’s in Business Administration - Marketing. I had the absolute best college experience there and I’m forever going to be obsessed with TCU. Come football season, you can find me at every home game! Go frogs baby.
Now I’m officially a contributing American citizen with my first big girl job. I work for an Advertising Agency in downtown Dallas. I love what I do! Advertising is the perfect industry for me to be in because I’ve always had a business mindset while still wanting to express my creative side. I spend my days in client meetings, kicking off and overseeing projects, and collaborating with my wonderful coworkers. I’m really happy with where my career is headed. A goal of mine is to eventually transition into the bigger, corporate side of marketing and be in charge of my own brand.
I’m originally from the much smaller town of Texarkana, Texas. I lived there for my first eighteen years of life. All of my family still lives there and I visit occasionally! I’m very close to my family. I always have been and I always plan to be - it’s how we were raised. I have a little brother, Yates, who is five years younger than me. We’ve been through it all together, and he seems to understand me better than anyone else on this earth. We’re the kind of siblings who are so similar, but so different at the same time. Simply put, Yates rocks.
Another very special person who lives in Texarkana is my family’s dearly beloved weenie dog named Smokey! He is the cutest dog with a very big personality. God, he is so sassy. I love him so much.
I’m also blessed with a wonderful, caring, thoughtful, handsome boyfriend -- Troy! Troy and I met freshman year of college and we’ve been dating for about two years now. We do everything together. We have so much fun doing even the most boring of tasks. I could go on about him forever, but to sum it up: he’s my person.
A hobby of mine that’s very important to me is yoga. I started doing yoga when I was sixteen, and I haven’t stopped ever since. Besides all of the obvious physical and health benefits, yoga literally makes me a better human. It’s an art that anyone, of any size, of any age, of any background can do -- and I plan on keeping it up forever!
One of my most closely held values is simply: love. Love others, accept others -- no matter what they look like, where they’re from, what they believe, or how similar to or different than you they seem to be. I try my best to live with an open heart and happy soul. Hopefully this blog will inspire you to do the same.
